Easthampton has turned its mill-town bones into one of the Valley's most interesting small food scenes. The breweries lead the way — Abandoned Building and Fort Hill pour on the mill side of town, with the Brass Cat as the beloved Cottage Street barroom — and the kitchens keep pace: New American cooking at Daily Operation, bagels at Tandem, breads and pastry at Small Oven, and Nourish, a new organic café inside the Eastworks building. Antonios sells pizza by the slice on Main Street, and Vegan Pizza Land does what its name promises.
